The customer, L. Cudnohufsky, from Hanceville, AL 35077, contacted our specialist, Grant Crowden, expressing significant worries about mold and persistent standing water in their crawl space.
They highlighted the urgency of the issue, noting that the damp conditions were not only a potential health hazard due to mold growth but also a risk to the structural integrity of their home.
The customer emphasized the need for a comprehensive and effective solution to address both the water accumulation and the mold infestation to ensure the longevity and safety of their property.
Our crews performed a two-part job for the customer.
In the initial phase, our skilled crew did an extensive clean-up of the crawl space, ensuring the complete removal of all trash, debris, and contaminants. This thorough cleansing laid the groundwork for the subsequent steps.
Following the clean-up, our experts installed an advanced drainage system. This system is designed to intercept groundwater and any moisture seeping through the block walls. Once captured, this water is directed into the system and then expelled from the crawl space, safeguarding the foundation through the integration of a state-of-the-art sump pump system.
To bolster the resilience of the home and its crawl space, the customer opted for a secondary pump system. This system is fortified with a reliable battery backup, ensuring uninterrupted operation even amidst power outages, thereby offering an additional layer of protection.
We are scheduled to complete the crawl space with a full encapsulation at a later date.
